Preschool Classes

Our Preschool Charter requires all lead teachers to have completed a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood, Elementary or Special Education or a related field with extensive experience working with children from the ages of 0-5. Most of our teachers have raised their own children or are in the process of raising school age children.

Child Safety

All parents and caregivers who have regular contact with children in our preschool classes or playgroups are required to complete Illinois Department of Children and Family Services' (DCFS) Child Abuse and Neglect Tracking System (CANTS) Authorization in order to enroll a child in our programs.

Nothing is more important to us than the safety and well being of the children in our care.

All staff have full FBI fingerprint background checks as well as the CANTS background check.

Faith Lutheran Programs for Young Children (PYC) offers a variety of classes and age groups to meet the social and academic needs of children and families. All classes for children 3-5 have a maximum of 14 children with two teachers.

Classes Offered:

Our 3 Day Preschool class (M-T-W) is multi age with 3 and 4 year olds attending.

Two day preschool (TH-F) is intended just for 3's.

STEAM Mondays (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math)

9:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Children bring a lunch to eat with their friends. Children will learn through hands-on science, engineering and math activities. Children, especially younger ones, learn science best and understand scientific ideas better if they are able to investigate and experiment. Hands-on science can also help children think critically and gain confidence in their own ability to solve problems.

We are offering this program to children in both PreK classes on Mondays from 9:00-12:30.

Enrollment is on a first come-first serve basis
